Vaccine Required, Mask OptionalTo repeat the policy started in September regarding vaccines, everyone attending is required to have had 2 or 3 shots of Pfizer or Moderna or one of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine. The Delta variant has caused many venues to require more protection for visitors. The Fellowship Indy party will be both inside and outside. Anyone is most welcome to wear a mask. Fellowship Indy will provide a box of masks at the nametag table. If you have had any symptoms of COVID-19 please attend another month. 2 November PartiesDuring November we have 2 parties: Thanksgiving Day and Saturday, November 13. Normally we meet the last Saturday of each month, but we make accommodations to not conflict with peoples’ Thanksgiving and Christmas. The invitation for the regular monthly party on November 13 is in the next column to the right. Thanksgiving DayFor Thanksgiving Day (November 25) our leaders and long-time hosts, David C. and Jay v.S., have once again invited the membership to share a pitch-in feast. We will gather at 3145 N Delaware Street at 1:00 PM for libations and appetizers and conversation. Dress is not formal, rather, holiday-festive. Please prepare and bring your seasonal food dishes and holiday beverages to share. Fellowship’s bag of serving utensils will be present, so you don’t need to bring your precious items. Jay will be cooking several types of turkey along with dressing & gravy. Then, at about 3:00 PM we will have a formal, seated dinner using fine china and silverware. So, our hosts need to have an exact headcount for setting up tables and place settings. Please RSVP to David’s email at rieuconrad@gmail.com. Also, realizing that some people may be at other afternoon family celebrations, you are welcome to come just for dessert any time from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. New Hosts Welcome! So far we have re-established most of the party calendar through January, but there are openings available for hosting for this November and February of 2022. Please call or email if you would like to consider being a host. Without the generosity of guys opening up their homes or condo clubhouses, we could never meet. Over the last 44 years we have had at least 528 dinners -- actually more because there was a period that we tried 2 dinners a month and we still do two events in both November and December. Basically, a host simply needs to provide a clean house and ice, while Fellowship Indy provides all the party "setups", and the members bring the food and beverages as part of the pitch-in. We have developed a wonderful document called "Tips on Hosting a Dinner".
All party dates more than one month out are subject to change. |
